One of the great questions of life
How come, when you post something on ff.net and even if you know it's fairly decent it always looks like crap? I think it must be the general crapness of about 75% of what is on there (generous figure?) that just infects everything else - you automatically begin to think that ff.net=crap.

Which is a pity because at heart it's a damn fine idea.

Yeah I think it's just the stigma that's associated with the site now.

Posting it on LJ always seems to make it feel like better quality no matter what you've written :D

Depends on what you're posting I guess.

I kind of suspect if I'd posted my Farscape fc on LJ it would have sunk without a ripple, whereas I do have actual reviews on ff.net

S'a funny place, the interwebs.

True. I can't fault ff.net for its ability to get your story to a lot of people. And it has handy stats features too - I tend to get quite a few messages about stories of mine put on people's favourites even though they haven't reviewed it which is nice to see. On LJ there's only one way of knowing what people think and if they liked it.
