That's another plus 1 to my musicals tally
~ Yesterday, I went to see Sister Act with morbid_sparks , etmuse  and morbid_sparks' mum. I'd heard slightly iffy reviews about it and we were not getting Shelia Hancock so I had lowered expectations, but I really enjoyed it.The music was fabulous - written by Alan Menken, it really fitted the soul tone except for one song which was very Disney to my ears (he obviously couldn't quite get away from it. :D). And the set was AMAZING. So, so clever. I did miss the film's songs a little but they new ones were good replacements. I'm surprised it's shutting so early, leaving the Palladium dark for something like 6 months  until Wizard Of Oz starts.

~ My enjoyment was slightly hampered by me losing hearing in one ear. If I turned my head upside down, the fluid seemed to drain the other way so my hearing came back but then I wouldn't have been able to see so...The pain in it is gone today and I'm just left feeling very muffled one side. I'm hoping to yawn at some point and suddenly be able to hear again.

~ I finally got round to watching the whole of Saving Private Ryan, now I'm moving on to Band Of Brothers. The former is a harrowing film and, as always with these films about groups of soldiers, it is hard to keep track of who is who at times, but everyone should definitely watch it. With the latter, I've just finished episode one. It was filmed at Hatfield where I was at uni and a few of my mates were extras in it. I doubt I'll spot them though since they were all soldiers.
