The last few episodes have been great. More than great actually. Cassidy (who wrote the brilliant American Gothic) has used his talents to perfection again. Just when things are starting to fall into place and you think you have a handle on what's happening, he throws a spanner (the kind of size that Sgt Siler would be proud of) into the works and blows everything you know apart, forcing you to rethink everything and realise how all those facts you thought you knew could be interpreted totally differently. Excellent storytelling.
And Tom Underlay is an even better character than Lucas Buck - that's not something I ever thought I'd say.
I'm enjoying this more than the first season of Lost. Heresy some might say, but there was a run of 5 or 6 eps in the middle of Lost season 1 that nearly made me stop watching because they were so dull - they really could have trimmed some of the fat out there. Invasion started slow but it has built the pace since. I'd much rather that than a mid season dip.
I really hope Invasion gets renewed for a second series. *crosses fingers*
